In contrast to marriage, you only need the passport of the foreigner and the identity document, “Cedula”, of the Colombian partner for the registered partnership. In principle, two foreigners and same-sex couples can also register.
We will send you a list of questions, create the necessary documents, prepare the papers for the authorities and make an appointment for you. A registered partnership takes about 1 week.
If the couple cannot go to the authority themselves due to a geographical separation, we can register the partnership with a power of attorney.
If property needs to be regulated according to property law, such an agreement can be drawn up by us.
The registered partnership legitimizes the application for an M-Visa.
In contrast to a registered partnership, you need a certificate stating that you are not married, along with an extract from your civil status. Different documents have to be organized depending on the country of origin. All foreign documents must be appostolated and translated into Spanish by an official translator. Marriage is significantly more complex, expensive and also more time-consuming than a registered partnership. However, a marriage concluded in Colombia is also recognized in another country.
The exact cost may vary depending on the country of origin. We would be happy to work out an individual offer for you.
If assets are to be regulated under property law, such an agreement can be drawn up by us.
Like the registered partnership, marriage also legitimizes the application for an M visa.
We would be happy to advise you. We look forward to hearing from you.
